Elsewhere On the Internet!
There has been a lot of good stuff for English learners added to the Internet recently. Before I tell you about some blog posts that I have really impressed me, though, I’d like to point out another website that looks pretty impressive. It’s called The Island Weekly and it’s run by a woman named Anne, who also includes a lot of listening in her blog. It’s a great place to get even more listening practice!
There have, of course, been other great additions to the Internet. Some of it comes from How-To-Learn-English which I’ve linked to often, because. . . there’s often good stuff there! From How-To-Learn-English:
-
Laughing All the Way to the Bank. Some really good bank idioms.
-
Lose The Battle, Win The War. Some of my students think the U.S. talks too much about war. That may be, but here are some idioms from battles and war that you can use in a lot of other situations, too.
And I have two links for you from other English blogs. Check out these tips for English learners:
-
Greeting Someone After A Long Time from English-at-home.com. Here are some phrases you can use for . . . well, just what it says: greeting someone after a long time.
-
