On Monday, I gave you a description of Paris “in a nutshell.” You might wonder what that means. If you already know, well, you can skip this lesson. If you think you know—or if you have a good idea—write the idea down before you start listening to today’s recording.
After you listen, start thinking about things you can describe “in a nutshell.” What’s a nutshell description of a typical day at your work? If you have time for an activity that’s a little bit different, take a piece of paper and cut it into the shape of a circle. On the circle, write a ‘nutshell’ description of one of the following things on your ‘nutshell:’
-
The best vacation you ever had, in a nutshell.
-
Your worst day at work, ever, in a nutshell.
-
The best idea you ever heard, in a nutshell.
If you don’t have time for the arts and crafts, well, feel free to post your nutshell description here on Bite Sized English. As always, I’ll correct anything you leave in the comments.

Whenever I want to describe sth in detail I can’t, because my English is not enough to do it. So everything I described was in a nutshell.

I recommend saying “not good enough” instead of ‘not enough.’ And I’m here to help you improve your English!
