One of the challenges of taking an airplane instead of a car to Paris was that we got into Paris with nothing but our feet to help us move through the city. And the trip from the airport to the hostel was too far for us to go by foot!
In this listening exercise, you’ll hear me talking about the ways my wife and I got around Paris. How many of these possibilities do you have in your hometown? How do you normally get around? Do you have an unusual way of getting around? Maybe you use roller skates to get to work, or do you take your bicycle everywhere?
Take a few minutes to tell us about how you get around. And tell us how you would prefer to get around a big city like Paris or Berlin.
