The Progressive: Part One eWorksheet
I’m pleased to announce that a new eWorksheet is available. “The Progress: Present” is meant to re-introduce the English learner to one of the first differences he learned when learning English: the difference between “I do.” and “I am doing.”
Many people know this difference, already, but my students have noticed that I use the progressive (“I am doing.”) when they would use the simple present. I realized that we, as English teachers, have been a little bit lazy in teaching the different meanings of this tense.
Now’s your chance to make sure you understand it.
